ANALYSIS OF THE POTENTIAL, COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE AND DEVELOPMENT OF PORTO DRY IN VILA DE PARANAPIACABA

Abstract

It is understandable to assert that companies are constantly looking for improvements, optimization, and cost reduction in all areas and different segments. Despite current advances, Brazil lacks investments in infrastructure in logistics especially to streamline the processes of import and export. The logistical potential of the dry port in Paranapiacaba, in both road and rail modes, is absurd and may provide several competitive advantages for those who will benefit from the system, as well as development and new jobs, relieving the traffic of the descent of the mountains and the port of Santos. We analyzed the positive viable and negative impacts on the flow, movement, and transport of cargo, directed to the port of Santos to obtain substantial data, verify its limitations and its bottlenecks by proposing better solutions. The careful research methodology of the process tends to be formal and systematic to discover answers, using the descriptive method permeating the registration, description, analysis in search of perfection. The reduction in costs, handling, and processes listed in this proposed work has returned significant advances to the sector, promoting and corroborating competitive advantages for the various entrepreneurs who use this transport chain
