Abstract

The purpose of this research work is to emphasize the importance of international trade terms (INCOTERMS) in international trade operations, focusing on the terms DDP, on imports and EXW, on exports. The problem presented is the difficulty of using these incoterms in the foreign trade operations in Brazil and the existing conflict with the Brazilian legislation and the SISCOMEX rules. The methodology used to perform this research was literature review and exploratory study. It was attested the inappropriateness of Brazilian legislation in order to make it possible the usage of incoterms, DDP (for import operations) and EXW (for export operations) in International Commerce, due to the conflict with the present law and Siscomex customs house procedures.
