Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of socio-emotional disorders on worker productivity within organizations in general, and in foreign trade companies in particular. Thus, bibliographic research was conducted on the main socio-emotional disorders, their symptoms, and diagnoses, as well as on the impact of these disorders on organizations in general and in foreign trade companies. This is an exploratory study with a quali-quantitative approach, in which data for the theoretical foundation were quantitatively collected through a questionnaire applied to Foreign Trade students at FATEC Indaiatuba and professionals working in the field. The research results showed that a significant portion of foreign trade professionals have experienced some type of socio-emotional disorder in the workplace, and that most companies do not offer mental health benefits to their employees to deal with these issues.
