Abstract

Emotional Intelligence in organizations is studied here. The objectives of this work are to study the concept of emotional intelligence and to identify and describe studies that address this topic, either in reviews or in case studies. This is exploratory research, a narrative literature review. The Google Scholar database was used, and the time frame used to search for articles was from 2014 to 2020. 23 complete works available with open access were used. These works were read in full, which, after reading and highlighting the objectives and results obtained, a summary of the main points discussed by the authors was made. The results showed that the studies described here range from case studies with employees and managers to others that describe the role of Emotional Intelligence in team productivity and in conflict resolution. It was concluded that controlling emotions directly affects a company's relationships and business, making it a skill that is currently in high demand, and is often more important than technical skills.
